EAD Designs Monday Hop!

Happy Monday!  Welcome to another EAD Designs Monday Blog Hop!  It's a great way to start of your week with lots and lots of inspiration!  If you arrived here from Court's Crafts, then you are in the right spot.  This is Court's last week as a guest designer for EAD Designs.  All of her projects have been amazing!

(As always if you are hopping out of order, head back to the EAD Designs Blog - you won't want to miss a thing!)

I used the super adorable and spring-y Lady Bug Fun Stickerz set for my card.  If you haven't checked out the redesigned EAD Designs Store - make sure to take a minute and check it out!  It's even easier to use!

The next stop is Liz from Liz's Paper Loft!  I am sure she has something FABULOUS to share with you!

Let it Snow! Scrapbook Layout

Surprise!  Surprise!  I am still on track as far as my new scrapbooking plan goes.  I finished my second layout for our 2011 pictures this afternoon, so other than my Disney pictures - I am completely caught up!  Woohoo!  This is a beyond simple layout using the Winter Frolic cartridge along with the Imagine's pattern cartridge Mr. Frosty.  I think I am going to throw in some more simple layouts here and there to stay caught - I don't want to get burned out.

I designed this layout in my Gypsy, but then ended up using my Imagine to apply colors and patterns.  I'm not sure if this is the most efficient way to scrapbook, but I will say that it was a lot faster to just plug in the sizes into the Imagine.  I was able to avoid going back and forth between the mat preview screen and the sizing screens.  This entire layout used 4 1/2 sheets of white paper plus 2 sheets of kraft cardstock for the bases - that's pretty great!

Materials Used:
  • (2) 12 x 12 pieces of kraft cardstock
  • 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper trimmed to 11 x 12, then 11 x 6
  • Photo Mats
    • (3) 4 3/4 x 3 3/4, 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 to fit a 4 x 3
    • (3) 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 to fit a 3 x 3
  • (3) scalloped borders sized at 1" from Accent Essentials
  • (2) flourishes sized at 3.1"and 5" from Accent Essentials
  • Skating Girl sized at 4" from Winter Frolic
  • "Let it Snow" sized at 4" from Winter Frolic
  • Tag sized at 5" from Winter Frolic (journaling space trimmed to 2 1/2 x 3 - printed out from computer)
  • All Patterns from Imagine Mr. Frosty
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain
  • Sakura Gelly Roll Pen - White
  • MS Crafts Permanent Pen - Chesnut
  • 3/8" Saddle Stitch Ribbon - Michael's

Happy Friday!  Hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you back here on Monday for another EAD blog hop!

Hip Hippo Hooray!

Welcome to the 3rd Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge!  The challenge this week is to come up with a project using Create a Critter!  (Don't worry - if you don't have Create a Critter, just choose any animal from any Cricut cartridge.)  I hope you will all play along with us!

I decided to make a shape card.  I have always loved the little hippo from Create a Critter, but I've never used it.  Once I found the "Hip Hippo Hooray!" sentiment in the Scrappy Moms newest set "Furry Friends," I knew I had to use this little hippo.  Hope you like it!

You can find the "Furry Friends" set and LOTS more at the Scrappy Moms Stamps site!

Hope you are having a great Tuesday!

Up, Up and Away!!!

Happy Monday and welcome to another EAD Designs Blog Hop!  If you just hopped here from the super talented Court from Court's Crafts, you are in the right spot!  If you have lost your way, just head back to the EAD Designs Blog to start at the very beginning!

Today I used one of my favorite sticker sets from EAD Designs - "Fly Away With Me."  I had originally planned to use one of the hot air balloons, instead of a plane, but I don't want to use them up just yet.  (Isn't that silly?  Please tell me I'm not the only one that hates using up their favorite supplies?  Of course, this behavior also explains why I have a stash of stickers left over from my childhood.)

I used the cloud stickers to create my own "patterned" paper very VERY easily!  Just in case you didn't know - ALL of the EAD Designs Stickerz are repositionable.  If you are like me and have trouble applying things straight or just simply change your mind, you can fix it easily without messing up the sticker OR your paper.

Don't forget...if you haven't entered this month's EAD Color Challenge - you still have time!  Make sure to have your entry in by February 24th!  EAD Designs is also still accepting applications for their Before & After blogger!  You have until the 5th of March to get your application in to

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for another Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge!

Sensational Scenes Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Sensational Scenes Blog Hop hosted by the very talented Christina from Card Creations and More by C.  If you arrived here from Sharon's blog, MeeMees Creations, you are in the right spot.  If not, you can start back at Momo's blog, Made by Momo, so you don't miss a single project!

Christina makes the most beautiful scenes for her projects using her Cricut and various quilling techniques - my scene is fairly simple in comparison, but I thought would do something a bit different and create an "indoor" scene.  I haven't been in my craft room for two weeks, so I was a bit rusty.  It took me FOREVER to come up with something and I completely forgot to save my Gypsy file, so I don't have any sizes for you today...sorry!

I got the idea for the little heart picture after seeing Angelica's project HERE!

Your next (and final) stop on today's blog hop is Christina from Card Creations and More by C!

Make sure to leave her a comment!  She is giving away a set of Scrappy Moms Stamps!

Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek: "Furry Friends"

It's time for another Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek!  Melanie and Tammy have created "Furry Friends" as a follow up to their first ever stamp set - "Amusing Animals."  These sentiments are a perfect compliment to all of the animal images on your Cricut cartridges.

Please check out all of the super talented designers from the Scrappy Moms Design Team!  (You can find links to their blogs on the left hand side of my blog.)  I don't have a sneak peek for you yet, but I have a VERY good excuse...we were at Disney World last week!  Even though I had projects to share every day last week - I was actually at the happiest place on Earth.  :)

I thought I would share a few of our pictures from the trip!  (If you're not into the personal stuff, go ahead and skip it.)

Meeting Pooh Bear!
She went CRAZY for Eeyore!  So cute!
Riding Aladdin's carpets.
Waiting in line to meet characters...just minutes before an epic meltdown.
Checking out Pooh Bear's house.
Waiting in line for Dumbo with Snow White!
Cinderella was telling Nicole all about her castle.
This is my FAVORITE!  Nicole was smitten with sweet Jasmine!
Ariel and Nicole were comparing shoes.
Riding Cinderella's Carousel - I think she had as much fun on this as anything else.
We had an amazing trip and for my three year old - it was all magic.  I am so glad that I gave up on my autograph book.  Nicole could care less about having autographs from the characters and she did NOT want to wait in line to meet them.  If I would have made all of the pages I had planned, we would have have spent the whole trip waiting in line to meet characters.  We were able to meet the cast of Winnie the Pooh, the Princesses and Mickey & Friends at some of the character dining experiences - that was so much less stressful than trying to entertain a toddler for an hour or more in line.  Lunch at Cinderella's castle was worth every penny - for real!

I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things (we all came home sick), but I am hoping that I will have a project to post later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out all of the wonderful sneak peek projects this week!

Happy Valentine's Day and welcome to the Mi Amore blog hop hosted by Paula from More than Favors and Momo from Made by Momo!  I was so excited to participated in today's blog hop all about love!  There are so many talented bloggers participating in this hop, so there is sure to be lots and lots of great inspiration!

If you hopped here from Liz at Liz's Paper Loft, you are in the right spot!  If not, head back Paula at More than Favors so you don't miss a thing!

For today's project I wanted to make a layout for a picture of me and my husband!  I spend so much time scrapping pictures of my daughter that sometimes I forget to include us.  I also decided to try some actual stitching on this layout.  It definitely was a lot faster than using my gel pen, so I think I may try it out on a few more projects in the future!

Momo and Paula asked each of us to include a picture of our Valentine.  Brandon and I started dating during my senior year of high school, and just to prove it - I included a picture of us from my senior prom.  (Brandon graduated the year before me.)  Oh my goodness...we look so so young, but I guess we were!  Happy Valentine's to my sweetheart!  Love you!

  • 12 x 12 piece of kraft cardstock

"Look Who's 3!" Layout

Some of you that have been following the blog for awhile, will probably note that one constant theme of my scrapbook layouts (besides my white gel pen) is that I am always talking about how far behind I am with my scrapbooks.  Well...I have a new plan.  I am going to scrap current pictures as quickly as possible and then go back and only scrap pictures that I love or that are from special occasions.  I will still include lots of pictures in the scrapbooks, but instead of creating layouts for each and every one, I am going to use some of the "hybrid" pages from WR Memory Keepers.  Once I actually get started on those kinds of "layouts," I will share a few with you.  I'm hoping that this is the year that I get caught up!

This layout is for my daughter's 3rd birthday, which was just a few weeks ago.
Those are the first pictures that I've taken from 2011, so currently this year's scrapbook is up-to-date.  Woohoo!  (You have to celebrate the little things.)  I tried to film a video for this layout and it just didn't turn out.  I was kind of sick and so I kept making silly mistakes.  Before I was done filming the entire thing, my camera's battery ran out, so I threw in the towel.

I tried something new for my journaling tags.  I cut out tags from Birthday Bash and added a very handy journaling sticker from EAD Designs's Journaling Card Stickerz.  (I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time writing in straight lines on my scrapbook pages.)  To create the pocket for the tag I just marked an outline of the tag on the back of the photo mat & then made sure not to tape over where I wanted the tag to go.

I hope you will stop by tomorrow to check out the EAD Designs' Monthly Color Challenge!
