Did you see that The Twinery released TWO brand new twine colors? Platinum and Gold Shimmer! They are beautiful and add just the right amount of sparkle to your projects. I FINALLY had a chance to use some, and I combined it with my favorite Maraschino twine. The Platinum Shimmer adds a lovely sparkle!
I used my Silhouette design software's rhinestone feature to add holes, so I could thread the twine through. Super easy! I've had this image from Mo Manning for a while, but I kind of forgot about it. It reminds me of my sweet little one...
Ugh...I can't believe that she's going to be 5 next month.
Don't forget that tonight is Peachy Keen's December Release Party over at the Peachy Keen Connection! It starts at 6pm CST! Hope you can join us for lots of crafty chatter, challenges and prizes!

Here's a closer look at my card. I love these sweet carolers and I thought they worked perfectly with the "Falalalala" sentiment from the newest Christmas stamp set from Scrappy Moms - Christmas Cheer!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Happy Monday! I can't believe that I actually have a project to share! I know...it's super simple, but let's just say that it's CAS style. Ok? It's my newest Copic technique...coloring in bed, while lying on my left side. LOL! I don't necessarily recommend it. :) Peachy Keen Stamps has done it again - another month, another amazing set of images and sentiments! This cute little snowman is from one of the newest add-on sets. You probably saw him yesterday too...I think quite a few of us have fallen in love with him.
I hope you will head over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see even more amazing peeks of this month's Stamp of the Month set AND some of the adorable add-ons. All of the sets will be revealed on Wednesday, December 5th. Make sure to join us for the last release party of the year over on the Peachy Keen Connection - December 5th @ 6pm CST. As always there will be lots of crafty chatter and some really fun challenges! Plus...giveaways!

Hey crafty friends! I have a quick card to share with you today and a few things to share! I actually finished this card before the doctor put me on bed rest, and I finally snuck into my craft room for about 5 minutes yesterday to take some pictures of a few projects. This little penguin is from the Skatin' By set from Peachy Keen Stamps that was released last month. It's such a cute set, and it's a great deal - 2 adorable images and 3 sentiments!
I've been able to finish a few projects to share this week. I've figured out that I am able to color images while laying on my left side. Just to give you an idea of how bored I am...I continued to color even though my left arm kept falling asleep. Dedicated or crazy?
Make sure to check back tomorrow - I have a peek of this month's Peachy Keen Stamps release! I should also have a few more cards to share...I will warn you - they are not super elaborate, but at least I'll have some projects!
Hope you've had a good weekend! See you tomorrow!!!

So...by now I think I've established that Lauren and pregnancy do not get along. Here are a few things that I've been up to...unfortunately none of which involve new projects.
My feet minus bones. Ok...there are bones in there, somewhere underneath all of the swelling. Normally I wear a 6 1/2, but since my feet decided to double in size - I broke down and bought a pair of cheap flats in an 8 1/2. For real...sad times. So...two days after I took this picture while sitting on our patio watching my little munchkin play on her swing set, my doctor put me on bed rest. I knew it was more than likely coming, but I was still hopeful that I would be able to avoid it for a bit longer.
First I did a lot of crosswords, which tended to be geared for a slightly older demographic. (I learned that I'm not so knowledgable about Gunsmoke or big bands from the 40's.) I balanced crosswords out with some mind numbing television. There may have also been a lot of tears mixed in with all of the crosswords and TV...maybe even a full blown pity party.
Last week I got super ambitious and did a bit of crafting for my daughter's class party.
I got stuck bringing veggies to her preschool Thanksgiving feast, so I decided to make them as cute as possible. I just taped the little turkey bodies to a small plastic cups, added some ranch dressing to the cups and then the cut up veggies became the turkeys' tail feathers. My mom cut up the veggies for me, so they were super easy to put together.
I hate posting about why I'm not posting, but I didn't want anyone to think I had just disappeared. Right now I'm just taking things day by day. I am still seeing my doctor weekly, so she can monitor me and the baby. So far my sweet baby boy is doing well, and all of this resting IS paying off. My swelling is way down and my blood pressure is finally responding to the medication.
I hope all of you have a lovely Thanksgiving!

Happy Monday crafty friends! I hope you have a chance to join Peachy Keen Stamps for this month's release party over on the Peachy Keen Connection. It's happening RIGHT now! (6p CST, Nov 5th) There will be lots of chatting AND challenges! Plus, there is an awesome sale this week with a super cute new free stamp set with purchase!
I am hosting one of the challenges this month! All you need to do is create a tag with a Christmas or winter theme! (I'll add the direct link as soon as it's up.)
I LOVE Christmas...in sort of a Clark Griswold sort of way. I love everything about it - including wrapping presents, so this year I decided to make a few special tags for few "special" people. (In this case "special" people = someone in my immediate family OR someone who will appreciate it. i.e. my mom.)
How sweet is this little reindeer? I added some little snowflakes from one of the add-on sets and LOTS of glitter and sparkle.
I did a little bit of paper piecing for this little skating snowman. So fun! If you've only ever tried Peachy Keen's face stamps, but have been wanting to try some of the image stamps - this add-on set would be a great way to start. Snowmen are so easy to color...you don't really "have" to do anything other than color in his little carrot nose, but it's fun to experiment with a bit of shading or paper piecing.
I added a little crystal fine clear glitter to my snowman's hat and his ice skates. I like that you can still see the little bit of shading that I added through the glitter.
Hmmm...another snowman. I think he turned out super cute as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget that EVEN if you miss the actual release party - you still have time to play along with the challenges for a chance to win some fun prizes. Also - make sure to check out the sale this week!
Thank you to everyone that left such sweet and encouraging comments for me and the baby. I just met with a specialist today who will be working with my normal doctor to coordinate the best possible care for us. Right now that means lots of appointments and monitoring, but the upside is that I've gotten a LOT of sonograms this time around (and more to come). The baby even smiled for my doctor last week, which was such a huge lift. The specialist is NOT recommending bed rest at this point - so evidently some of you must have been sending some happy thoughts my way. (I will begrudgingly stay in bed if that's what the doctor orders...don't worry about that!) ;)

Happy Saturday and happy day two of this month's Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks! These new sets are adorable and are sure to get you in a Christmas-y winter kind of mood. For this card, I used some stamps from this month's Stamp of the Month kit and some from one of the add-on sets.
I REALLY like the look of white ink and kraft paper together (get ready...you may be seeing a lot of it in the next few days). Instead of inking with my normal brown ink, I used my white pigment ink. I then added some little evergreens to create my background. I inked them using my Versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed them with green embossing powder. I added a little white glitter to their branches to create snow. I used a combo of Copics and paper piecing for my little snowman.
Make sure to head over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see LOTS more inspiration, and don't forget that Monday, November 5th is our Peachy Keen Release party over on the Peachy Keen Connection! Hope you can join us!

Hey...so it's been awhile. This card was supposed to post, but I haven't really looked at the blog in awhile...so I didn't realize that it never posted. Awesome. Regardless, he is a super cute little elephant and he works PERFECTLY with the Scrappy Moms From the Inside Out Set. Poor little guy...he looks a little sad.
I used chalk on his little cheeks because I wasn't sure if the pink Copics would really show up against the blue. Now for the best part...look at the inside sentiment:
So cute! This is my favorite of the get well sentiments...and it's nice and long, so you don't have to worry about filling up the rest of the card. ;) Here's another peek at the newest set - it's so useful!
So...where have I been? My time lately feels like it's divided between home, school pick-up and drop-off and my doctor's waiting room. I'm not feeling great, and sitting at my craft desk is just not appealing right now. I AM going to have to force myself to get some crafting done in the next few days. It may involve my daughter's lap desk and the bed, but whatever works, right? I just feel like I am constantly playing catch-up around here. I have one good day followed by two or three bad ones. I only have 13 more weeks left, so the goal now is to try and make it through those last weeks...ALL of them. (I will accept any and all positive thoughts...and if you want to include some positive thoughts that keep me out of the hospital and minus bed rest - that would be great too.) Right now my doctor is keeping a very close watch on me and the baby. So far, he is doing well...it's just me that seems to be really terrible at being pregnant. I'm going back tomorrow (must remember to bring my OWN reading material because I have read EVERY magazine in the waiting room), so hopefully my doctor will have some good news for me OR we'll figure out what's next. Ugh...sorry to be Debbie Downer.
Thinking of all of you on the East Coast - hope you are safe and sound!

This is my second post of the day.
Hi Peachy friends! Today marks the start of another Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge! This week's challenge is to use the above color inspiration to create a project! Easy peasy! You can link up your project on the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge blog by 11:59 CST 10/17/12.
I used a fun image and sentiment from this month's add-on set: Little Tweets Thanksgiving! My little bird has kind of crazy feathers, but I think they suit him.
Don't forget that there is a Finally Friday Sale going on NOW at Peachy Keen Stamps! You can find ALL of the details there!
Happy Friday! I hope you are ready for some new stamps from Scrappy Moms Stamps! This month there are TWO new sets releasing. Today I am featuring sentiments from the "From the Inside Out" set. I am so excited to show you this set - it's something brand new from Scrappy Moms Stamps.
Here's a peek at the inside of my card:
This set is filled with lovely sayings for the inside (or outside) of you cards! I LOVE this...sometimes it's nice to be able to write a short note on the inside of your card instead of a small novel.
I love this sweet little girl from Mo Manning. You can find her HERE! So cute!
Here's a peek at the other super cute set that is releasing today:
I will have a project featuring a sentiment from this set up tomorrow morning! Until then - make sure to check out the rest of the Scrappy Moms Design Team Members' blogs for lots more inspiration! As always - all sets are in stock and ready to ship!

It's day two of Peachy Keen Stamps October Sneak Peeks! I have two projects to share with you today! My first card features a cute squirrel from the new Stamp of the Month Kit and that sweet prayer is from one of this month's add-on sets. This month's kit and add-ons are adorable (as usual). If you love fall and Thanksgiving...this may become your go-to set.
My little squirrel, wagon, and sentiment are all from this month's Stamp of the Month kit.
I stamped both images onto kraft cardstock and then added a little color using my Copic markers.
Make sure to keep checking the Peachy Keen Stamps blog ALL week to see LOTS more sneak peeks and inspiration from the design team. The BIG Reveal and Release party is happening THIS Friday at 6pm CST. You can join us on the Peachy Keen Connection for lots of chatting and challenges!
Just in case you missed it yesterday - I finally finished my step-by-step wreath tutorial. (You can scroll down to see it.)
