Happy Monday crafty friends! I hope you have a chance to join Peachy Keen Stamps for this month's release party over on the
Peachy Keen Connection. It's happening RIGHT now! (6p CST, Nov 5th) There will be lots of chatting AND challenges! Plus, there is an awesome sale this week with a super cute new free stamp set with purchase!
I am hosting one of the challenges this month! All you need to do is create a tag with a Christmas or winter theme! (I'll add the direct link as soon as it's up.)
I LOVE Christmas...in sort of a Clark Griswold sort of way. I love everything about it - including wrapping presents, so this year I decided to make a few special tags for few "special" people. (In this case "special" people = someone in my immediate family OR someone who will appreciate it. i.e. my mom.)
How sweet is this little reindeer? I added some little snowflakes from one of the add-on sets and LOTS of glitter and sparkle.
I did a little bit of paper piecing for this little skating snowman. So fun! If you've only ever tried Peachy Keen's face stamps, but have been wanting to try some of the image stamps - this add-on set would be a great way to start. Snowmen are so easy to color...you don't really "have" to do anything other than color in his little carrot nose, but it's fun to experiment with a bit of shading or paper piecing.
I added a little crystal fine clear glitter to my snowman's hat and his ice skates. I like that you can still see the little bit of shading that I added through the glitter.
Hmmm...another snowman. I think he turned out super cute as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget that EVEN if you miss the actual release party - you still have time to play along with the challenges for a chance to win some fun prizes. Also - make sure to check out the sale this week!
Quick Update:
Thank you to everyone that left such sweet and encouraging comments for me and the baby. I just met with a specialist today who will be working with my normal doctor to coordinate the best possible care for us. Right now that means lots of appointments and monitoring, but the upside is that I've gotten a LOT of sonograms this time around (and more to come). The baby even smiled for my doctor last week, which was such a huge lift. The specialist is NOT recommending bed rest at this point - so evidently some of you must have been sending some happy thoughts my way. (I will begrudgingly stay in bed if that's what the doctor orders...don't worry about that!) ;)
