Good morning crafty friends!  I got to play with some of the brand new stamps released by Peachy Keen Stamps last week!  Have you seen the brand new Stamp of the Month kit?  It's super cute.
I just got a set of Copics last week, so I've been doing a bit of practicing.  What do you think?  I have been using watercolor pencils for a little over a year, and I finally got frustrated with the results I've been getting.  I LOVE them for really detailed images, but when I tried coloring bigger less detailed images - I couldn't achieve the results I wanted.  I should probably take a class at some point, but for now...I'm just having fun playing around with them.  You will probably be subjected to some less than perfect coloring attempts in the months to come...so you've been warned.  ;)
I wasn't sure what to do with this cute little hat once I'd colored it, but then I saw the latest Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge sketch...and new it would work perfectly.  I've been a lurker for some time, but I think I am finally going to link up my card this week!

EAD Monday Hop: Valentine's Mailboxes

Happy Monday!  It's time for another EAD Designs hop!  If you are hopping along with us, than you should have arrived here from the very sweet and talented Joanna from Scrap-Making - if not, head back to the EAD Designs blog, so you won't miss out on this week's giveaway!
I have another super easy vinyl project to share with you today.  This time I combined one of my "must have" sets with some vinyl that I cut with my Silhouette.  Turquoise and red are so popular right now and when I saw these cute mailboxes in the Target dollar section, I knew I "needed" a few.
I used my favorite Heart Rub-Ons from EAD.  Just to give you an idea of how big these are - the sheet is 13 x 7.5".  I ordered mine in cherry, but there are a ton of colors to choose from.

I am the last stop on today's hop - I hope you enjoyed it!

Peachy Keen Challenge - Photo Inspiration

Happy Friday!  A brand new Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge starts today!  All you have to do is create ANY *new* project of your choice using the photo as inspiration.  Make sure to check out this week's designer projects over on the Peachy Keen Challenge blog!
I created a scrapbook layout for this week's challenge.  I found a few simple shapes from the Silhouette Online store and embellished them with some of my favorite Peachy Keen Face stamps.
I created the bear's sweet floral crown by using some felt flowers that I had left over from making my Valentine's wreath.  I couldn't find any tea cups or tea pots that I particularly liked, so I ended up cutting each piece out a few times and then piecing them by hand.

EAD Monday: Love@Home

Happy Monday!  I hope you are hopping along with the EAD Designs Design Team this morning!  You should have arrived here from the EAD Designs Blog, if not - head back to check out this week's giveaway!  The new design team members are still getting settled in, so they won't be joining us for our weekly blog hop just yet.  Just in case you missed the announcement - please join me in welcoming our new and returning team members!

I created a fun Valentine's themed canvas for our kitchen using some of the Chevron Vinyl and 12x12 vinyl sheets from EAD Designs.  Don't forget that ALL of EAD's vinyl comes with the transfer tape, so you will have everything you need on hand.
I have had this canvas in my stash for months, and I finally decided I should put it to good use.  I applied a quick quote of acrylic paint in pink.  Once that dried, I applied the chevron pattern to the bottom and the top of my canvas.  Because the chevron pattern is 12 x 12, I was able to wrap it around the edges - I think it gives it a more finished look.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the word art and applied it to the canvas.  This project took me all of 30 minutes total - you can't get much easier than that!

Happy Birthday Angelica!!!

Surprise Angelica!  Today I am lucky enough to help celebrate the super sweet and talented Angelica's birthday!  Happy Happy Birthday Angelica - I hope you have a wonderful day!  If you are hopping along with us, then you should have arrived here from Cristina's blog, Crafting with Cristina.  If not, make sure to head back to Kathy's blog, so you don't miss out on a single project.  I will also have a complete blog list at the bottom of this post - just in case you get lost along the way.

I won't keep you too long because there are so many talented crafters that wanted to help celebrate Angelica's birthday!  I made a cheerful card that combines Angelica's beautiful background stamp from Market Street Stamps with some super cute Peachy Keen Stamps!
It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but I added glossy accents to her little belt and shoes.  I ended up liking it so much that I added it to the balloons too!  :)

A Few Things...

I don't have a new project to share today.  :(  I will get to that later, but for now - I have a few announcements to share!

Please join me in welcoming the 2012 EAD Designs Design Team!
I can't wait to get to know our new members better!  It's going to be a great year!  A great big thank you to Emily for having me back for a 2nd year!

For any of you that have been waiting and waiting for Action Wobbles to be available for purchase...Scrappy Moms Stamps is now carrying them.  Woot!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I am frantically trying to force myself to feel better after an allergy attack yesterday.  I tried crafting yesterday afternoon, and I literally went through an entire box of tissues.  Antihistamines + Me = BFFs.  My plan is to drink as much lemon tea with honey as possible and listen to some happy music to perk myself up.  (Right now that means the Fleetwood Mac Pandora station...we listened to a lot of Fleetwood Mac growing up, so it always brings back happy memories.)
Hope you have a great day!

Valentine's Wreath

I loved my fall wreath so much that I couldn't resist making another one.  I decided that we "needed" a Valentine's Day themed wreath.  These wreaths are so fun to make...I just finished this one today and I already want to make another one.  :)
I used four different types of felt flowers for this wreath.  I made mums and roses for my fall wreath, but I decided that this wreath should have more of a variety.  I will link all of the tutorials I used at the bottom of this post.

Materials Used:
  • 18" Straw Wreath (leave the plastic on the wreath)
  • Pink & Red Yarn
  • Pink, Red, Taupe and Green Felt - this is just regular craft store felt
  • Sizzix Flower Layers Die
  • Pinking Shears
  • Hot Glue...LOTS
  • Tutorials
    • Ruffle Flowers - (Red with Pink Centers & Pink with Red Centers)
      • This tutorial uses a Lifestyle Crafts die...I used my Sizzix die (I think any die will work as long as you have three flowers in graduated sizes).  In the video she demonstrates that the craft store felt doesn't cut as well...the Sizzix die may be a bit stronger because I didn't have any trouble AT ALL - all of my cuts were really clean.
    • Taupe Loopy Felt Flowers
    • Red "Carnations" - I made a normal rose, but I used my pinking shears instead of plain scissors to get a bit different look.
Hope you have a great day!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

EAD Monday Hop - Monster Notes

Happy Monday!  I hope you are hopping along with EAD Designs this morning!  You should have hopped here from Joanna's blog, Scrap-Making.  If not - make sure to head back to the EAD Designs blog!  I have some fun non-traditional Valentines to share with you today.

I tried to come up with some Valentines that weren't too girly.  What do you think?  I suppose you could leave off the bows...if you really had to.  ;)

I love these little monsters from the Monster Birthday set!

Scrappy Moms Valentine's Hop

Happy Saturday!  The Scrappy Moms Design Team is celebrating the release of the brand new Crazy for You set with a Valentine's blog hop!  If you are hopping along with us today, you should have arrived here from Sarah's blog, Live Love and Scrap; if you are a bit lost - don't worry - I have a complete blog hop list at the end of this post.
Scrappy Moms Stamps is giving away a set of Crazy for You!  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post.  If you leave a comment at each stop, then you will have 13 chances.  Each of us will draw a name from the comments and the winner will be chosen from that group.  (I hope that makes sense.)
I have a sort of non-traditional Valentine to share with you today.  I don't know why gingerbread should only make an appearance at Christmastime, so I dressed this one up for Valentine's Day.

Here's a peek at Crazy for You:
