Happy Monday!  I hope you had a good weekend, and are ready to hop along with the EAD Designs DT.  You should have arrived here from the EAD Designs Blog.  If not, make sure to head back there so you will be eligible for this week's giveaway.
I used the lovely Dandelion Rub-Ons for my project today.  This is one of my all time favorite sets...I actually used it for my very first post for EAD Designs

Ribbon Wreath

***This is my second post of the day for Peachy Keen Stamps.  If you are looking for my Challenge project, scroll down or click HERE!  Thanks!***
Happy Friday!  It's my day to post a project to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog, and I am so excited to share this wreath with you.  I made a similar wreath last fall, but I couldn't bear to part with it.  I made this one to give to my daughter's preschool teacher.  I chose colors to compliment the colors in their classroom.  Since this year was my daughter's first school experience, I really wanted to come up with something special.  Her teacher has done such an amazing job, and Nicole has learned so much.  I can't wait to give it to her next week!

I made a very short video that gives an overview of the process.  I PROMISE it's not hard, but I cannot promise that it isn't a little time consuming.  IF you can convince someone else to help you cut all of the ribbon lengths, then it will speed up the process.
I also say that the loops are 2 1/2"...that would be impossible.  They are about 2 1/4" once finished.  Hope that helps...videos are few and far between these days, so don't get used to it...ok?  Ok.

Goodness...I love that little bookworm face.  It is from the PK 755 Critter Faces Set A Large.  I colored in his nose and mouth using some Copic markers.  It's hard to tell in this picture, but I also inked all of the cuts in matching ink.  I used another mini chalkboard from the Target Dollar section for the wreath.  Instead of writing in chalk - I used some white vinyl.
I used some pop dots to add a tiny bit of dimension to the little bumblebee.  This face is from the Happy Lashes Face Assortment.  (Still my favorite face set.)

Materials:
  • 12" straw wreath (leave the plastic on the wreath...much less mess)
  • Ribbon...lots of it.  At LEAST 25 yards
  • Caterpillar and Bumblebee via Silhouette Online Store (I used the offset feature in the Silhouette software to create a shadow layer.  I set the offset at .10)
  • Face Stamps: PK 755 Critter Faces Set A Large & PK460 Happy Lashes Face Assortment
  • Sakura Gelly Roll Pens - Black and White
  • Colorbox Liquid Chalk Inks - various colors
  • White Vinyl - EAD Designs

Peachy Keen Challenge - Create a Background

Woohoo!  It's Friday and it's time for another Peachy Keen Challenge!  This week's challenge is to use a stamp to create your very own background paper.  This was a bit harder than I had anticipated.  I think it took me 3 or 4 tries to get a pattern I liked.  I tried some tiny stamps, but in the end - I chose the cherries from the Peachy Keen Stamps Faceless Fruit set.
I even dusted off my Cricut Expression to cut out this sweetie from Playtime.  My poor Cricut...it's kind of neglected these days.
Here's the inside of the card.  I accidentally got a little smudge of black ink underneath the sentiment, so I added another set of cherries to cover it up.  Whew!  That would have been pretty annoying!

I hope you can play along with us this week!
You can link up your project HERE on Peachy Keen's Challenge Blog!

Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek!

Happy Wednesday!  I have a quick card to share using a sentiment from the brand new Girls Just Wanna Have Fun set from Scrappy Moms Stamps

I used the Silhouette's print and cut feature to apply some fun Nancy Kubo digital patterns and her sweet ice cream sundae.  I love how versatile the Silhouette Cameo's software is - I'm getting a lot more adventurous with the print and cut feature.  Look how clean the cuts are!  When I was using my Cricut Imagine, I constantly struggled to get rid of the little borders around images...NOT a problem with the Cameo.  At some point, I may invest in a large format printer, but for now - the one I have works really well.  I actually made a few of these tags to have around, when I need a quick tag for a gift.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I will be back on Friday with a two projects for Peachy Keen Stamps.

EAD Hop: Teacher Appreciation Gift!

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a fun weekend...I got a sunburn this weekend.  Yes...that is just how fair skinned I am.  I got a sunburn in APRIL!  Anyhow...I hope you are hopping along with the EAD Designs DT this morning!  You should have arrived here from Julie's blog, Julie's Open Window.  If not - make sure to start at the EAD Designs blog, so you don't miss out on this week's giveaway.
I know that for a lot of you teacher appreciation week is around the corner.  My daughter's school celebrates next week, so I've been trying to come up with a few things.  I found these SUPER cute Chalkboard Plant Markers in the Target Dollar Spot, and decided to use them to personalize a simple potted daisy for my daughter's teacher.  Instead of trying to write perfectly in chalk...which I know would get smudged, I decided to use vinyl!
This couldn't have been simpler and now I don't have to worry about the chalk getting smudged or dripped on when the teacher needs to water the daisy.  I used white for my project, so it would look like chalk, but EAD's vinyl comes in a rainbow of pretty colors.  Don't forget - that it also comes with transfer tape, so once you decide on the color - you are good to go!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I am the last stop on this week's hop!

NEW Scrappy Moms Stamps!

Happy Friday!  Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing TWO brand new stamp sets today!  Both sets are in stock and ready to ship.  Here's a look at the first new set:
Girls Just Want to Have Fun!
I made a cute purse that is the perfect size to hold a gift card.  I recently bought some of the Graceful collection from Echo Park, and I finally used it.  I paired the pretty damask paper with a few of the matching print and cut elements from Echo Park.  So easy...I am still amazed by all the Silhouette can do.

Here's a peek at the second new set:
Little Critters
I put together this simple treat bag for my daughter's preschool class.  What preschooler doesn't like Goldfish?  I couldn't find any paper that I liked, so I used the Silhouette's print and cut feature again to apply that cute striped pattern to the tag shape.

Make sure to check out the rest of the Scrappy Moms Design Team blogs for lots more inspiration!

SMS Terrific Tuesday Challenge!

Happy Tuesday!  A brand new Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge starts today!  This week's challenge is to create "Anything with a Stick."  So...that could be a straw, a lollipop stick or even a stick pin - I'm sure you get the idea.  I am sadly Silhouette-free for the next couple of days, so instead of dusting off my poor Cricut...I used the adorable pinwheel die and one of the cute paper straws that Scrappy Moms Stamps is now carrying!  I also used a sentiment from one of my all time favorite sets...Sweet Somethings.  I think it was the 2nd stamp set that Scrappy Moms released, but it is STILL one of my most favorites.
Sweet Somethings

I hope you will join in on the fun this week!

EAD Monday Hop: Laughs & Giggles

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a good weekend!  I have been working on a fun project for my daughter, and I can't wait to share it with you!  I have a few more things to do, and they mostly involve sewing, so it may be a few more days.  (I am not the fastest seamstress, but I should just have to sew a lot of straight lines...that shouldn't be too hard.)  If you are hopping along with the EAD Designs DT, then you should have arrived here from the talented Julie's blog, Julie's Open Window.  If not - as always - head back to the EAD Designs blog, so you don't miss out on this week's giveaway!
I RARELY use my sewing machine on my paper projects, but since I had it out over the weekend, I decided to give it another try.  I sewed a little bitty bag to the front of the card - that way I can add a little gift card to it!

EAD's April Color Challenge!

It's time for another EAD Designs Color Challenge!  Have you played along with us yet?  If not, you should!  Just for playing along you will receive a 25% off coupon to the EAD Designs store and one lucky winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to EAD Designs.
I designed my very own patterned paper again...it's so fun and easy.  One of the best things about the stickers from EAD is that they are removable AND repositionable.  Now...that doesn't mean you can just rip them off the page...you do need to take a little care, but it does mean that if something is a bit crooked or just not where you want it - no big deal - just carefully lift it up and move it around.

Here's a close up of the "patterned" paper I created.  I also added a few sparkles to jazz it up.
Oh...and I put the little bunny on a wobble.

Softpencil Studios Hop!

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you are hopping along with us today!  You should have arrived here from Yanitza's blog, but if not - make sure to start at the Softpencil Blog!  You won't want to miss out on a single project!  I will also have a complete blog list at the end of the post.
I am so happy to be able to help Softpencil Studios celebrate their new digi stamps!  I love Elizabeth's designs, and could not wait to try out her digis.  I tried something just a little bit different this time - instead of just coloring her with my copics, I did a little paper piecing too.  I just printed the image out onto a few patterned papers, and fussy cut the layers.
Here's another close up!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!

EAD Monday Hop!

Hi crafty friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and are ready to start off your week with the EAD Designs DT!  You should have arrived here from Julie's blog, Julie's Open Window, but if not - make sure to head back to the EAD Designs blog.  You don't want to miss out on this week's giveaway!
I have a super simple card to share with you today.  I saw this paper tape at Target, and couldn't resist.  I've been wanting to try washi tape, so I figured this would be a cheap way to give it a try.  It's pretty great, and while I haven't tried real honest to goodness washi tape - it's cheap enough to use and not feel guilty about it.  (Please tell me that I'm not the only one that feels bad about using up beautiful supplies.)  I paired my simple paper tape border with the "for you" sentiment from the "Thinking of You Sentiments."
Thinking of You

Make sure to check back tomorrow for the first of three blog hops hosted by Softpencil Studios!  I LOVE Elizabeth's designs and can't wait to help her celebrate!  There is a really fun and talented group of bloggers participating tomorrow - so come hop with us!

Peachy Peeks and a Party!

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are having a great day!  Peachy Keen is releasing their brand new stamps tonight!  To celebrate, there will be a release party over on the Peachy Keen Ning site from 6-7pm CST!  There will be prizes, challenges and lots of chatting.  I'm hoping to pop in - even if it's just for a minute.  That's a pretty busy hour at our house, so we'll see.  Even if you don't make it over for the actual live event - make sure to pop in and check out the challenges for a chance to win some Peachy prizes!
If you ever check my Facebook page, a few weeks ago I mentioned that I dropped a black ink pad onto a finished card...this would be it.  Luckily I was able to salvage a few things from the original card and recreate it.  Here's a tip...ALWAYS put the lids back on your stamp pads RIGHT AWAY!  :)

Peachy Peek!

Hi Peachy Fans!  This week the Peachy Keen Design Team will be giving you some sneak peeks of the brand new April Stamp of the Month kit and the add on sets.  My first project features the super cute alarm clock.  I paper pieced him, and added a little brown ink along the edges.
Here he is "wobbling" on an Action Wobble.

Here's a peek at another card I made using the new set...

Make sure to visit the Peachy Keen blog to see LOTS more peeks.  This is such a versatile set - I know you will love it!
