The Twinery & Ephiphany Crafts!

&
Happy Thursday!  I hope you are joining us for day four of The Twinery and Epiphany Crafts team up!  You should have arrived here from the Epiphany Crafts blog, if not make sure to head back to The Twinery blog!  (I will also have a complete blog hop list at the bottom of this post!)
I created a little bookmark using a simple hair band, The Twinery's bakery twine and an adorable charm from Epiphany Crafts.  I am using mine this one to embellish my Kindle's cover, but it would work with a book too.  (I just happen to use my Kindle most of the time now...I love being able to buy a new book without leaving the house.)

The next stop on today's hop is Ginny Hughes!

EAD Monday Hop: Stay in Touch!

Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you are having a great day so far!  If you are hopping along with the EAD Designs DT this week, you should have arrived here from Julie's blog, Julie's Open Window.  If not - make sure to head back to the EAD Designs Blog, so you don't miss out on a single project!
I put together this simple and funny card...well, funny if you have seen Tangled approximately 1 million times.  (It's a good thing I like it.)

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #19!

Hooray it's Friday!!!  I am excited for a three day weekend - we'll be hanging around the house this weekend, and Sunday night my husband and I are going to a fun concert. Woot!  Today marks the start of a brand new Peachy Keen Challenge!  This one is a color challenge and you can link up your project HERE on the Peachy Keen Challenge blog!  I can't wait to see what you create!
So...as pretty as this color palate is, I never use purple.  I had originally planned on working on a layout with some face stamps, but after scouring my paper - all I had was a little bit of this purple polka dot paper from DCWV left.  I've been trying to be better about using what I have, so instead of heading to the craft store for purple patterned paper - I decided to color my own image.  I will tell you that I swear that the blue looked more turquoise at first, but as it dried it turned more blue.  Hmmm...evidently I need to practice that.  Any suggestions on Copic colors for a pretty turquoise?
I love those little happy little flowers!

Thank you soo much for stopping by today, and a big thanks to those of you that take the time to leave comments!  I know I am soo bad about leaving comments these days, so I really do appreciate every single one...especially those of you that comment on almost everything.  (You know who you are!)

Have a fun and SAFE weekend!

The Twinery & Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop!

Happy Wednesday!  It's day 2 of the Skipping Stones Design and The Twinery blog hop.  There are so many beautiful projects and some fun blog candy up for grabs!  You should have arrived here from Wendy's blog, Paper Therapy by Wendy Jordan...if not, you can head back to The Twinery's blog so you don't miss out on a single project!

I paired the Bras Volume 1 stamp set along with a few of my favorite colors of baker's twine to create a set of four cards that would be perfect to cheer up a girlfriend.
The sentiments in this set paired with the bras make me giggle!

EAD Monday: Sing in the Sunshine!

Hi!  Happy Monday!  I hope you are having a good day so far!  It's Monday, so that means it's time for another EAD Designs Monday Hop!  This week you should have arrived here Julie's awesome blog, Julie's Open Window.  If you have arrived here out of order, not to worry - head back to the EAD Designs blog, so you won't miss out on this week's giveaway!
I am so excited to share this fun project with you today!  It was soo easy and I can't wait to make another one.  I love the Rainy Day Stickerz, and I've shown you a few projects using these fun stickers, but I wanted to try something different.  I made a necklace using some a scrabble tile, some pretty paper and EAD sticker and an epoxy shape.  (I know you can also use Glossy Accents, if you don't have an epoxy shape handy.)  I am pretty happy with how my first attempt turned out, and I can't wait to make another.  There are a TON of stickerz in the EAD Designs store that would work perfectly for this!

The next stop is Liz from Liz's Paper Loft!

Magical Memories Layout

Hooray it's Saturday!  I hope you are up to something fun this weekend!  My little one is off to her grandparents house to spend the night - woohoo!  I am sharing another project today featuring a brand new sentiment from the Scrappy Moms new "Picture Perfect" set.
These sentiments are a little larger than normal, so they work perfectly on layouts.  (Just a quick aside between us...whoah - my hair is super blonde in that picture.  I've toned it waaay down since then.  This picture reinforces that decision.  Also...I don't like those jeans.  I think I should donate them.)  In case you missed it yesterday, here's another peek at Picture Perfect:

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Make sure to check out the rest of the Scrappy Moms DT blogs - we are sharing lots of peeks!

Scrappy Moms New Releases!!!

Happy happy Friday!  I am so excited to give you a sneak peek of the brand new May releases from Scrappy Moms Stamps!  I think you will love them all!  I am sharing this SUPER-duper easy layout with you today.  This layout is for my daughter's class picture, so I wanted to keep things pretty simple.  I did leave myself enough room to write her classmates' names underneath the photo.
This fun sentiment is from the brand new Picture Perfect Stamp set from Scrappy Moms.  Even if you are not a scrapbooker - these still make fun additions to your cards.

These Scrabble tile stamps are so fun and perfect for LOTS of projects.
I used the new metal Alphabet Soup Die to cut out my faux Scrabble tiles.

Hello Sunshine Scrapbook Layout!

Hi crafty friends.  I have another layout to share...plus two more coming in the next few days AND another one just waiting for me to put together.  Woohoo!  Maybe I'm finally coming out of my scrapbook slump.  I have given myself permission to create some simple pages...not every layout needs to take 4-6 hours.  Right?  This layout originally looked completely different in my head.  I had planned on cutting the sunshine rays out of yellow gingham, but I am completely out of the paper I had in mind.  I finally decided on this woodgrain paper from Echo Park's Graceful Collection and it completely changed the "mood" of the layout.
I love to mix fonts when coming up with titles, and after struggling for awhile trying to come up with something...I found this one in the Silhouette Online Store.  I just added the shadow by using the "offset" tool.  This was exactly what I had in mind, but couldn't make it work myself.
I originally didn't have any other embellishments on this layout, but I decided it needed something more.  I finally settled on paper rosettes.  This was my first time trying them, and I'm happy to report that they are pretty darn easy.  I used my hot glue gun to apply the buttons AND to apply the rosette to the page.  I'm sure you can use glue dots, but I wanted to make sure these wouldn't budge.
I cut strips from the border page included in the Graceful collection to create my rosettes.

***Update: I forgot to mention how I made the sunshine...oops.  I used THIS file from the Silhouette Store.  There are a few other options that would work too.  Just search "sunshine."***

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Make sure to stop by tomorrow - Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing TWO new fun stamp sets, plus a few other fun surprises!  You don't want to miss it!

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge!

Happy Tuesday crafty friends!  A brand new challenge starts today over on the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog.  The challenge this month is to create a new project with a summer theme.  I decided to stop procrastinating and get a layout finished.  I NEED to get caught up with my scrapbooking, so I am starting slow.  I finished THREE layouts yesterday, and even though all of them are very simple, it's a start.
Here's a close-up of my journaling space.
I have had these cute chipboard stickers from K & Company in my stash for a year, and I FINALLY used them.  I told you I wanted to keep things simple...you can't get much simpler than stickers.
